Black women are faced with plenty of criticism from black males (now and historically).
And now - and "historically" - you've always had the option to either ostracize those men or outright silence them by cries of homosexuality, weakness, and other clichéd talking points that are only used to deflect and protect feelings.
You've even indoctrinated the boys (and made Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry millionaires) you've raised to find fault in themselves and men who look like them but not their female counterparts who look like you.
Puppets who regurgitate exactly what you want to hear, can't speak openly for fear of being reprimanded, and depend on
you for stability, but can not and never will garner your respect like other races of men who are patriarchal because you resent them for it.
It's exactly why black women have been complaining about mysoginy and the patriarchy while longing to "swirl" and end up under the roof of patriarchal households of men of other races.
Youv've been asking for the location of "the real men" for nearly half a century while the same men you raise talk candidly about the shortcomings of their male counterparts but lose it when the topic of materialism and birth control comes up concerning their opposites.
You keep cooking though, because the only thing that takes precedence in these topics is whether or not you were offended.
On that front, you're winning.
It's worked out well for
you so far, black woman, and if there's anything these topics have taught anyone willing to pay attention,
that's what's important.
