Bro those Colts teams were absolute GARBAGE come on now, Peyton’s problem was that he panicked under pressure way too much and usually unraveled after one mistake, but they went 2-14 after Peyton went down
If you're an elite player in any sport you're going to be asked to be better than everyone with you and against you as needed. While there's poor management and team building, you're grossly oversimplifying this an absolving MVP level players from performing and/or being taken to task when they don't get it done. The team building argument doesn't fail, I see Rodgers and Brees fans making similar arguments in this thread that team building held those QBs back too. Indy was built in a way where Peyton had to be on every game to win and that's proven to be a poor way to build a team.
Also why bring up the Diggs game? That's a poor example, it's not like Brees was amazing in that game. If you want to bring up that one, why not Indy vs Miami (missed game winner FG in OT), Indy vs Pitt (missed FG in regulation), Indy vs SD (went to OT never saw the ball), Indy vs NYJ (D blew the game late vs Sanchez after Manning drove them to take the lead with under a min to go).
It's exactly how sports work. Two teams line up, one wins and the other loses. Sports media doesn't work this way though.
Name the great Manning playoff performances where the defense let him down? This is revisionist as hell. Manning routinely had average defenses that got lit up. OP has to be in his early 20s posting this shyt.
Definitely a bunch of people in here who don't know what the fukk they are talking about.
Peyton didn't have terrible defenses, but they were no greats either. The Colts would continuously get ran on week in and week out. I know the Jags one time ran on them for like 400+ yards. It was disgusting to watch. Peyton has bailed the colts defense out more than the colts defense has bailed him out and I think that gets lost in the shuffle. And for damn sure not all of his playoff losses are his fault. The colts defense let a backup qb who wasn't prepared to play go right down the field and scored. Peyton nearly had 500 yards that game. Let's not forget when Denver let that raven's reciever get behind them for like 70 yards. Like wtf was that shyt??? Peyton definitely got criticized for some of his playoff performances and deservedly so, but let's not act like he was a bum every playoff game.
At the end of the day Peyton is one of the greatest qbs ever who had almost all the major records when he retired. One of which he still holds with the single season TD record of 55. He also 3-2 in the playoffs against a lot of yall goat in Brady and that's how thats gonna stay forever
Also, I need yall to have this same energy for Rogers. nikka been to one superbowl 12 years ago and nikkas try to put him above Peyton. GTFOH with that bullshyt. He don't even have the stats yet to even argue that case yet. Probably never broken any of the main qbs records before either. Definitely the most overrated qb ever.
Rodgers isn't overrated... Packers D allows 34 PPG in the playoffs. What QB is reaching multiple Super Bowls with that?
Colts' defenses were built to play indoors with the league and rush the passer. They weren't "bad" worst in the league defenses but they weren't elite ones either. In the playoffs they consistently got ran on. Multiple playoff games where they were getting gashed for 150+ on the ground.
The Steelers game Indy got unlucky multiple times, when Nick Harper (stabbed by his wife) didn't run Big Ben's INT back and the missed FG at the end. You want to go through each throw like "but but he could've/should've been intercepted!"You can do that with any QB.
And LOL at making arguments trying to say Brady/Peyton had similar quality defenses, then posting 2003 Pats Defensive highlights.![]()
If the Coli was around in the 80s and early 90s....
The shyt these clowns would write about Marino, Montana, Elway, etc... Cuz all of these cats had some stinkers.
How many superbowl appearances tho? How many rings? That's what tf I thought. fukk outta here.
Not even gonna adress this stupid shyt. Clearly u are a casual
Btw, Rodgers playoff numbers is better then Manning and he has played 6 less games![]()

His defense won?? He still got to score dumbass. And any defense could have stopped Rex fukking Grossman. Tell Aaron to at least make another appearance. Peyton has been there twice since his last appearance.Lmao at u counting his ring that his defense won. Gtfoh casual.
By your retarded logic, bradshaw and aikman are better then manning.![]()
Nah he's definitely overrated. He his d gave him 3 extra tries this past NFC championship game and he only scored 6 points. Aaron not what yall think he is regardless of his trash D.Rodgers isn't overrated... Packers D allows 34 PPG in the playoffs. What QB is reaching multiple Super Bowls with that?
