my dude, you might want to reconsider your stance on exes. if they're coming back wanting to make amends, it is then you can test out on them the new gaming skills you've learned since they've been gone to see if it works. the only caveat is, u shouldn't do this with chicks u still have feelings for. if a chick does u wrong, and then comes back (and the feelings u had are gone), at least now, this time around, u know never to devote ur emotions to her...regardless of how much she begs. u can deal with her differently. with a nonchalant, unmovable demeanor.
but hey, do whatever works for ya. i just know this whole idea of shutting people out causes u to remain bitter. there have been women that have done me wrong too and i honestly cannot remember their names of the top of my head unless i really think about it. i dont talk about them because they are just a distant memory. when u can recite with a strong freshness of memory everything an ex did to u, it tells me ur not over it.
u basically have to release the hurt and just stop talking about it.
