Had a different, but somewhat similar experience yesterday.
After coming back from a July 4th party in Brooklyn, I stopped by a bar in Manhattan. I actually went in there because it was pretty empty and I had enough of the wall to wall people at the BK event.
In come these 2 German chicks who obviously were a little buzzed. I start talking to them and find out they're here working, but might be going back home soon. One of them starts to break down how different it is working here vs Germany. She didn't understand how you can send someone an e-mail within the same company and not get a response. Her whole perception about America coming in was different then the reality she has experienced in the corporate world. She mentioned people won't do anything here unless they can see an immediate monetary gain.
We start talking about relationships and she mentions a guy she is talking to that is still back home. Apparently they were seeing each other and then he told her he had a girlfriend. Now hes popping back up and claiming he's on the rocks with the girl. The whole time I thinking this sounds like the reverse of what happens here in the states. I told her she is crazy for having lived here the past 6 months and still worrying about some guy she never really even dated back home. She then goes to the restroom and I chat up her friend a little bit.
When the first girl comes back she cuts into my conversation with her friend and we resume speaking. I could already tell she was interested so I start touching her more and holding her hand. I got her number, but I didn't stay too long after because I could sense her friend getting antsy/jealous. I just told her I had to meet someone and bounced.
Once I got home I was like eh I don't even know if I will call her. She seemed ok and would probably be DTF. It was kind of interesting hearing their experience working here vs back home though. It was also interesting to how the dude she was talking to back home was running the same BS game the chicks do here. I guess guys do it everywhere too, but these chicks were definitely more chill than the average NYC girls.
Dudes use to do that back in high school so I know where your coming from. I had that happen to me. You shoulda confronted dude that was talking about you, he was wrong from that but let that shyt to go breh, its childish and things like don't make you a loser.
. I don't have the drive to bend over backwards and text or call, the fakeness to even care about asking questions to know about her. Too court and all that when theres a bunch of other vultures flying above, nah go ahead. Right now I've been saving hoping to go to paris this year
