text vs phone calls brehs:francis: i need assistance i don't like talking on the phone though

i love talking in person though
Talking on the phone is a skill. I think it's easier to focus on the words being said because you don't have to focus on staring at someone.

1. Relax your voice and speak slowly.

2. Be concise.

3. Use verbal recognition like laughing or saying hmmm to let the person you're talking to know you're actively listening.

4. Pretend you'll be quizzed on what's being said to you.

5. Imagine what they're saying to you. You'll pay closer attention.

6. Smile, it can be heard, trust me.

The trick is to get them comfortable, so comfortable that they begin to think out loud. After that you can chill and listen. You'll get to know a lot about them and come off as a great listener.

Do chicks get disinterested if you don't call? and you prefer texting?

Anyone have a list of good ice breakers and convo "continuers"? I'm tired of using my Luther Vandross approach; asking them for their name and where they're from gets kind of repetitive and usually leads to small talk limbo.

Make a concentrated effort to find something interesting about them. Interested people are interesting people.

If you can't, just chalk it up to low compatibility.

6 Side.
Me and my girl had a minor disagreement a few days ago..

Since then we haven't been in communication much since.. and i haven't initiated contact (something she's used to)

So, last night she text me the following

'the number one cause of women cheating is lack of attention from their lover'

wtf? How would y'all respond to this? Am i wrong for seeing this as some disrespectful shyt?

women never cease to amaze me. :aicmon: Instead of being and acting like mature person in a relationship would, she resorts to something as petty and childish as that.

I ain't in your shoes, but if i was....i'd be turned right the fukk off, wouldn't respond, deal or ever speak to someone like that ever again.

Just text back "You can't cheat if you're not in a relationship :yeshrug:" then bush her for all eternity.

I have an unpopular opinion that I'd like to share.

I'm 23 and I don't believe in having a girlfriend or a long term relationship until I'm in the 28-32 age range.
I'd like to finish school and build a career, some money, a good friend network etc. Honestly, having a relationship is very low in my priority list. Over the past year, I've cut off a lot of people and changed up my habits, health, and read a lot of books to change my general mindset and I'm so at ease with myself that I rarely feel lonely. It could also be subconscious; my parents don't like each other and a lot of men / dudes I've seen that are in relationships have turned soft. The last thing I want to do is turn soft in a sink or swim world.

Chime in and tell me what you guys think.
you trippin.. you aint that busy.
honestly you sound scared man. girls arent anything special that it takes a grown man w/ all his shyt together to maintain them.
especially when u real young like right now, you can fukk up a couple of relationships and be alright. no pressure to do anything
