It's always interesting that men are supposed to just accept a woman's mistakes and take on her brood and all the baggage that comes with it, but when it's us it's another story.
You're a single man with no children and managed to avoid that "mistake" yourself and have everything going for you, but somehow you're not a "real man" because you don't want to play second fiddle and take on a woman (who probably would have never checked for you BEFORE the kids came along) with her children while her other man just lays in the cut...yet somehow YOU are a part of the problem of single parenthood in the black community.

There aint nothing admirable about that situation. You wasn't there to see that baby be born, missed their first words, first steps etc. In the end you'll never be that kid's daddy, you just a nikka who fukkin they mom. nikkas just love framing themselves as some sort of hero to escape the reality of their L.

thats messed up about dude looking suicidal, but thats what happens when you get all these misguided ideas about loyalty in a relationship, and then somewhat count on your partner to be more like you have been to them. thinking like they will repay you back with what you put in. but you need to see early on in the relationship what is the deal. how have they been this whole time? has it changed? has it always been promises but no real pay off? has it been games? read into all of that shyt
when you build your life around another person, but dont truly understand that person and your differences, it will eventually show. and the disconnect will to be apparent, so early on you need to measure up and not base your decisions strictly on your emotions. that kind of mistake happens a lot with, of course, a come and go, spoiled, "what have you done for me lately" type. makes you work and toil for her. it can be a fiance or whatever, but if you can read the signs and sniff out disloyalty then you need to hit the eject button on her seat and keep it pushing.
never place all your winnings/emotions/confidence in another person. thats just a bad bet to take.

sheeeit, the only "real man" a single mother needs to be concerned with is the real one that gave her that "real baby." thats their business and their concern. its between them, and it will always be. a lot of delusional woman these days want a man to do more for her, and put up with more, but offer even less in return. they want to share the chores, want to be considered "independant" while you have to buy them shyt, want to have excessive mileage on their pussies but play games and bargain it with her man, and want to have other mens babies while you take care of them ... gtfo with that shyt.

That's my point. When I have children, I want EVERYTHING from the jump: The sex (obviously), seeing my woman's belly grow bigger, the birth, first words, first steps, first day of school etc.....I want the whole entire experience that's unique to me as a father.
But nah, I'm supposed to be a "real man" and take on some broad with kids to prove I'm a responsible person.
I damn sure ain't putting myself in a position where you get some snotface brat come tell me I'm not their dad while the mother sides with them and insists I can't talk to her kids that way - I've seen that shyt happen before. fukk that.
On the other hand, what if the kids love you, you love them, but the mother decides it's over between the both of you for whatever reason and decides to go off with some other dude 500 miles away and insists you never contact any of them again? Then there ain't shyt you can do about not seeing them because you're not their biological father. So all that providing you did for them over the years and you ain't got shyt to show for it but a bunch of photographs and you're left looking like a sucker like that dude at the end of Smooth's video 'You've been played'.
