This will be a long reply which I will break into parts...

Morals and true spiritually is uncommon, but anything great is uncommon, for greatness is a state of distinction from what is common... so for those who have the ear to hear, a delicious, yet rare fruit awaits for those who rightfully embrace proper principles. I agree with you that people are so caught up in the blinding haze of materialism that their decision-making process is being greatly blunted to such an extent that people cannot build something over the long-term. Now this message about submission is a very powerful one. As a man and woman who are serious about each other continue to interact with each other, they begin to meld together. Marriage is the symbolic process of two becoming one. Now, when a woman truly finds a man that she is equally yoked with, whose understanding and vision she agrees with, what she must ultimately do is to yield, or in other words, to submit. She cedes her authority as she melds into one wit her man. She no longer thinks in terms of ME and neither does he. They both think in terms of us... together we stand, together we fall. keep in mind yall, this a library/computer lab. every conversation is heard by eavesdroppers. so i'm not trying to make a fool out of myself. i've had plenty of chicks be nice and then when u ask them for their number, u get hit with different variations of that burning ether. but then again, i've had other chicks give their number.

anyway, after the convo ended. i kept on doing my thing, she kept on doing hers. only this time, she wasn't looking up anymore at any one that passed , and she wasn't sneaking looks at me. she would do her work and would sporadically pick up her phone to start texting. all the while not glancing at me anymore. so i figured its whatever.

about 25 minutes later, i got tired of sitting by the computer so i just printed up some sh1t i was reading, got up and got the papers i printed, and was fixing to leave. as i was leaving i saw she seemed somewhat unsettled. like i got the vibe she was thinking "is this dude really gonna just up and leave without saying goodbye to me?".

i left without saying anything to her, but as i left, i noticed she looked back at me.

basically the experience left me feeling . cause i feel i coulda hit. the last chick who gave that kinda vibe i ended up fuccking for a while until i decided to sever ties with her. if this had been in a spot that wasn't as crowded or where not a lot of people woulda heard the convo, this woulda gone down quite differently lol.

IMO atleast you did the right thing. You made the first move, normally if a girl likes you she should continue the conversation so it is not one-sided. Maybe my tolerance levels aren't as high as most people, because if a chick can't even have the common courtesy to ask about me after I express an interest in what she does, then it's a wrap and I just keep it moving. Reciprocity, even in small ways, is something I look out for. It doesn't take any energy at all to simply ask "how about you?" and if someone can't even bother to do that, then I won't bother either.
