to me the only way it works is if the both of you decide that regardless of how either of you feel both of you won't end the marriage. either than or remove emotion from the marriage and approach it like a business deal.

making a long term commitment based of emotions that can change in a moment is not really a solid foundation.

The span in which you've accumilated sexual partners mean nothing.
