in college when i realized what the hookup culture was like and girls i thought were cool were something else around others. it aint bother me it was just different to see, i don't think i ever quite adjusted to that but in college girls was choosing. now that im out of school its completely different, it's the opposite and i do just fine

actually i had to have an uncomfortable conversation with a girl who was cool and she's like 'what are we doing' and i had to just say like you go to school A in location A which is so far from where I am now (location B) and where I'm moving to next month (location C). We've only hung out a couple times usually on your breaks, and even though we do the social media thing a lot we're not actively sharing experiences. she knows i dont fukk with social media like that but i sacrificed a little to maintain contact. i never even considered exclusivity or a 'relationship', but i know that brought her down to hear those words come out.

what's crazy to me is i'm not even bummed out about it (even though she's cool, attractive, smart). we just dont have the right timing and actually i feel free to go to school next month not having to deal with that situation. sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. i actually had my last shift of work that same day after that conversation and I think that hurt more because I spent three years at that job with those coworkers, i think thats when i realized I made the smart rational decision to not continue something that I knew wouldnt work

She gave me her number at the beginning of this month, we text back and forth everyday..of course in between the work day we get busy and hours go in between replies.

What do I do? Lol. I just want to get to know her better and see if she's for real about meeting up or something. We've already brought it up, I'm kinda just waiting on her to extend the invite because I don't want to be too forceful or seem to creepy. She already was upfront with me she went on a date with some local guy but he was too sensitive lol. Her text replies are like..almost robotic sometimes but I'm kind of the same way. I dig her so far, we have a lot in common. Both real career driven, etc..basketball fans, into dance music, beer..all that.

I can't even pin-point it. It's just thru a series of relationships and hook-ups. I've just learned no matter what you do, there's no guarantee when it cones to emotions. People will do shut if they don't think they'll get caught. Also 99.9% of women say they're not a good liar in order to gain your trust, so they can lie to you down the line. They look forward to it too.

yeah i mean i went through something similar (not exactly since I knew her for several months). That contact over phone and shyt is fun when you not doing anything it's nice to have a conversation. But honestly, it's gonna get old especially if you cant see one another and have experiences together. i felt like when she was at school i was an emotional crutch that I wasn't into being even if she is truly interested.

Even if you met up once, how would you meet up again and again? It's one thing if you're within a couple hours but with this girl I knew I would never be able to visit her and both our lives were only going to get busier going forward. Stay in touch, have conversations, become friends. If you're ever in Oregon holler and meet up, but I wouldn't take this serious. And i'm not trying to be a downer, but I was JUST there and we hung out several times. There's no dude who wouldnt eventually get tired of it


EDIT: I see it's Match, I think people are a little more serious on there but I don't know about the online game at all. I would at least suggest a meet and try to move forward from there.
