Like I said earlier, I'm not trying to fukk again, I'm just trying to find a way to keep my distance without being an a$$hole. As to the reason we stopped seeing each other:

We hadn't been seeing each other that long, maybe a month. So we go out to this concert one night, and we are on our way to grab a couple drinks afterwards, and we bump into her ex. So they chat for a minute or two, and she asks if it's cool if he comes for a drink. I'm not really feeling the situation for obvious reasons, but I figure fukk it - what harm can one drink do? Well, one drink turns into two drinks, which turns into three, and I start getting heated. So eventually I say "fukk this, I'm gonna let you two enjoy your evening" and bounce. We talked the next day, argued about it & shyt, the usual. Eventually we patched things up, but it hasn't really been on the romantic tip since.

I know, but how would it look just driving past her on my way home and not even offering her a ride, when I had been doing so since before we were even seeing each other? It would look like I'm salty about things, which I'm not. And I don't really care about what her friends at work think, I'm not trying to get at them anyway. Like I said, all I want to do is find a way to maintain some distance so I can get my head straight without hurting her feelings.

I know, it's pretty much a hopeless situation :snoop:

As far as I'm concerned, if you and your ex don't have kids together, you got no reason whatsoever to be talking let alone grabbing drinks with each other. That's bullshyt. Hi and bye, then KIM is enough.

That bytch KNOWS what she was doing was disrespectful. She knew you wouldn't wanna look bad by saying no, but look at what happened. Dude was out of order too because out of respect for another man he should have declined. I wouldn't have "patched things up", because we would have been done from that night. I just would not tolerate that kind of disrespect EVER. It doesn't just stop there once they see they can get away with that shyt.

Plus fukk how things "look" when you don't offer her a ride. Is she even contributing towards petrol money for the car?? Don't feel shamed into giving her a free service when she's probably gonna hop on her ex's dikk when givent he opportunity. Also, fukk her friends at work. That's your place of business where you go to earn a living. This is why I always say you should never get involved with people in the workplace, it's a recipe for disaster. For all you know, she could be talking shyt about you anyway claiming she has a sucker giving her free rides. I've seen this before in the workplace.

Personally, from what I keep reading in this thread, I think some of you dudes tolerate way too much disrespect, but I'm not knocking anybody cos you live and you learn. But if it keeps happening then it's on you. :francis:

only a month? quit torturning yourself dude. she probably fukked her ex the next day and now is using you for your altruistic nature. i'm probably one of the least cynical on here but this is way too cut and dry. She been over it. You need to let yourself be free man.

also fr fukk her feelings. only dating for a month and she try you like that? not worth even being friends with people like that man.

This won't work if you keep moving too fast, nobody wants anything that comes easy and you putting her in a pedestal which tells her you don't think you're good enough
