There's a math formula that someone better at graphs and statistics could put together

but if you are talking app based the actual time between "meeting" and date is probably on average LONGER than in person, or 20 years ago, people wait for days of social media "liking" and "following" and then "talking" and THEN go out

but the rate of "meeting" people is so much higher, that is creates that affect, for example, if you are "talking" to just say 7 people at one time, at any given day, there's going to be the point in the cycle where you meet, even if it's been a week since you matched

and it is real, in a sense, because everyone knows how many options there are, and if you don't make an impression, whatever it may be, you are both just one to the next one.
