lol. I met a few teachers out in Asia and they all seem to get their info about America from twitter and TikTok.
Ive said it on here before and will repeat until it sinks in, but Social Media as a whole is the greatest propaganda distribution technology ever created.. And tiktok is the most efficient, sticky, memetic ever created and cannot even be explained on terms most would understand. These things will be broken down and explained in books, documentaries, specials in the near and distant future.. You hear the stuff coming up now about suicide, depression, anxiety, brain rot, etc. We still dont know affects of this addiction that most have but imagine everyone getting hooked on crack, not just group of people but the masses by billion+..
The way mindsets have changed so rapidly and how things that were regionalized have not been spread globally.. Do with that what you want..

So what this means for dudes out there trying to smash or trying to find a wife - your target market has been been seriously dumbed down, and they're more emotionally reactive and more unpredictable than was the norm prior to the iPhone.
Old heads remember when broads back in the day were scatter brained, hypergamous, selfish, duplicitious, never on time, totally self centered, etc.
The behavior itself was not new.

The breadth of this behavior, the depth of it, the short and long term consequences of it, the inability to deal with it on a personal level, the impossibility of dealing with it on societal/global level....

Whatever I dealt with in the late 90s and early to mid 00s is like 10x for Millennials, and 1,000 X for Gen Z's.

The way it was introduced, and defended over the years, from a champion of democracy, to what it is now.
That whole argument that it's just a tool and it depends on how you use it is such bullshyt. It's impacted every major facet of modern public life. Politics, terrorism, the financial industry, every business you cam think of, books, movies, music, our whole lives are centered around social media, whether we use it or not. The most powerful people in the world are using it. That alone is fukking wild. Justice Department officials. Presidents.
So, conversely, the idea that it wouldn't affect person to person interpersonal relationships is just laughable. Of course it does. Of course it has. You can probably chart the escalation in this thread, where people are debating the content of instagram and our IMessages from 10 years ago, to now, where we are all like none of us have any clue what this done to everyone. I think AI will be like this too.

Notes on text messages and dopamine:
It was probably a few years ago when I realized how much I disliked texting, not because I am a "bad texter" but because as a mechanism, it felt like I was getting high, when I didn't want to, and I realize now that everyone is kind of bound to this system of dopamine drip. I had these two girls today, that I had never called, and I wanted to call both of them, but I was like the odds on them answering are like 15%. Half the time they don't answer, even if they know me! The other half they text back. So I texted.
But it really is like a slot machine. The flow and consistency of a phone call doesn't have that effect on me. It's like just a good feeling, that eventually goes away. Texting is like doing coke all afternoon. You get that little hit or nothing at all, and then start the whole process over. Had some deeper thoughts about attachment and dopamine running together, and how we have all been programmed and rewired to equate love/lust/passion/connection/intimacy with texts, essentially quick dopamine hits. And, for me, being aware of this, and not really texting very much in general, people who are on dating apps, plus group chats, plus whatever else, they are mainlining this shyt all day.
