At this point does "regular" USA even exist anymore? Like I feel LA/Miami/ATL/Houston are all the same place. I think NYC might be a different animal with a mix of everything (as in the entertainer bullshyt but still legit high earners who have nothing to do with enertaintament so actual real people in large numbers). People visit LA/Miami/ATL/Houston for weekends to feel like somebody important for a day, so living in these places you deal with even more delusion. Like has the LA/Miami/ATL/Houston-syndrome taken over every major city? Where everyone is presenting as more important than they actually are lol
I wouldnt say every city but the influence is real, when I get out of south florida it really be feeling like the game on easy mode.. Feels good to step out of the thunderdome every now and again. Like even going to Orlando it just seem like a completely different game. All things still apply and top talent get around anyways so they still have certain mindsets but its still wayyy less turnt up like say a volume knob.

Because they have "followers" and access to men all over , simping and telling them how good they look lol. Because the pendulum has swung so much, you have the higher tier men dipping into lower pools, because the women at their level want even HIGHER tier men.

There was a video with two NBA players, and they were saying how they couldnt get access to the level of women other players had because they had "more star power / more money / more recognition / etc". They thought just cause they were in the NBA, it would be "easier" ... NOPE. Heard plenty of women say "athletes are in everybody's DMs" lol.

I knew it was bad, when i was talking to this one girl 2-3 years ago at the Mondrian and we were out getting drinks, we took a couple photos and then i see a DM light up and it was Michael B Jordan

:mjgrin:

This convo reminded me how ESPN had a couple articles thru the years about how NBA brehs werent going to clubs anymore and how it was affecting road teams to be more successful on road because they were getting more sleep :mjlol:. I have dealt with my fair share of nfl, nba, entertainers making they moves, the game is the game. Its literally hyper mode out here, you can be going cool and then get the hey do you know xyz he is nfl player? Or omg, me and chanel were leaving lounge and Trey songz just invited us back to his place, you think we should go? :aicmon:

I remember there was article over 10 years ago but found this one from 2017, crazy it even features my boy who was promoting heavy at the time.

I joke about it with my friends, but I say that I only hang around for the lust/honeymoon stage now. It is definitely because of what you allude due to my experiences. It sucks on one hand because the aspirstion of "healthy family unit" has been completely removed from my expectstions, now I go in with a hedonistic view and "enjoy the moments" for what they are....... def not conducive to long term healthy growth in that arena, but it is where things have been going socially.... unfortunately.

Breh its hilarious seeing this stuff play out in real time, spaces like these helped alot of brehs make sense of it because they were ahead of the curve fr. Only thing that gets me is how wide spread and pervasive its all really gotten. Im trying to find an earlier article, I know from even like 2012/13 era..

Remember the whole nba player Jr Smith "tryna get the pipe" that became a meme in 2013 he sent to a high school girl?? They put that shyt in the rafters :mjlol:

It's a symptom of everything being commodified. People are treating each other based on how they are "worth". Is sending a text "worth" her time? And if she responds, how much energy is she going to "invest" into you? You don't typically conduct this type of analysis with people you care about, such as friends or family. Some do, but those are called narcissists or have some kind of other personality disorder. There has always been some version of this but I definitely think social media made it worse but its also a bunch of other societal factors that enable people to act this way.

This is the interesting thing to me. I see that too. Rather than make this about me obsessing over a declined invite, it's just become part of everyone's interactions with each other. I hear so much of these from women, even very sensible ones, one way or another, and I'm just always thinking they all miss the forrest for the trees. Enjoy your life. Go on a date. Live in the present. Eat some caviar. Chill the fukk out.

@Ahadi

yeah, that crossed my mind. I also could see one remark from her friend too. "Like you know he asked me out a few times too". But your point is a good one. The thing is, she could have done that and I am not tripping. It's just another fun night for me, anyway it goes down.

This dude is running bootcamps and program, but he's running scared.

There's so much money in the fearmongering.

That group of girls I have referenced, all "IG baddies" I don't even think any except one has a very active sex life. And that's a maybe. But if I shared their IG, everyone would think they were extremely sexually active, like this dude is saying. I am not saying they never have sex or I know everything that goes on, I don't, but they are not fukking multiple dudes a week, or even a month. Or, there is nothing to suggest they are. Beyond their own human urges, I am not even sure how interested they are in sex. They are more into scrolling their phones or taking pictures at brunch.

Sex is a topic on a forum where the jokes write themselves, but I have had some thoughts lately. Sex requires so much vulnerability that I don't think people are as comfortable having it, as they were even 15 years ago. Then there's the cultural influences. I think they sell sex too. Not for money, but for likes and attention. They sell the idea that if you want them bad enough, you can have them, but it's going to cost you, money, commitment.

The things that are the antithesis to creating enjoyable, mind blowimg, sex.... as a consequence as you mentioned that disconnect from allwoing vulnerability and everything is robotic...........
