Want to start doing dead lifts but I'm scared as fukk I'd fukk up my lower back.

Did chest and and biceps today. As I hoped out my whip when I got home this lady walking a small dog with a matching outfit hit me with. "Wow look at you, out here intimidating everyone out here":shaq:

I laughed and hit her with a " you don't look too bad yourself, like y'all matching outfits" :youngsabo:

Start off light, don't round or hyperextend your back, engage your core, legs, and lats. Make sure your hamstrings aren't too weak or too tight.

Start with trap bar deadlifts because it's easier to ensure proper form.

Been OD'ing on the deadlifts the last month...been going 90% 1RM and I think my CNS is fried. I lifted an amount I shouldn't have attempted with bad form on Friday. I'm not allowing my self to go over 315 until further notice.:dame:

Think I'm going to get on the 5x5 tonight...I prefer doing compound exercises and my bulk has been going well. :jbhmm:

its crazy how lifting was a chore to me. I dreaded the moment id have to go to the gym. An hour before starting thered be this sinking anxiety coming from my stomach. Now I look forward to it all day. Its like recess from life. Throw around some weight, give a :ehh: to the brehs lifting heavy, check out girls, watch espn, listen to music. Im just saying if anyones starting, yeah it hurts at first but it gets better and is as good for your mind as it is your body, hang in there and keep showing up. Even if its planet fitness, just go for the fukkery :lolbron:

Had to jump on this early morning workout steeze. My evenings can be all over the place with work and home that I would have to skip the gym too often on days I had planned to go. Going in the morning, even though I am hella tired when I wake up, seems to just work best now. My evenings are now free for fukkery. I'll catch up on sleep on Saturday and Sunday.

Brehs how y'all splits looking/what exercises you performing in the gym ?

Currently mine is Chest/Arms, Legs/Abs, Back/Shoulder
I go to the gym 4 times a week, on monday & tuesday & thursday & friday
This way I can always do an "alternative" plan on friday, meaning I'll do chest/arms again, but with different exercises like doing incline dumbbell press first instead of normal benching or doing the butterfly instead of flys etc. etc.

Back/biceps
General lower body (usually includes deadlifts)
General upper body (focus on arms and close grip compounds)

I like this split because I can hit all the major body parts twice a week but still have specific days for legs, chest, and back.
