Is it possible to do legs with knee pain? I haven’t done any in a month because of this but I want to get back to it

Pain flares up in my knee all the time. At work, at home, etc. I cant even sit with my knee bent w/o it being painful.

But, I can squat, deadlift, sled push, etc w/o any pain.

It does flare up here and there when I do a lil running tho.

You not worried about long term damage?

I’m doing the 100 pushups in 100 days challenge. At the end of my second month basically(started on June 5th). So something interesting happened this weekend. I been on the Keto diet practically all year . So I been doin the challenge and basically all my workouts and cardio on a ketogenic lifestyle. I had my first cheat day this weekend and it all you those 100 pushups were effortless. Typically it takes me about 7 minutes to do my hundred. I start out my first set until I tire(usually around 35-40 push up) and then I do sets of 12 until I get to 100. That usually takes about 7 minutes. Well over the weekend since I was doing my cheat day and was getting plenty of carbs I bust out a 100 pushed on Saturday and Sunday in 4 minutes tops. 3 and half on Sunday. I fukked round and did another set of 100 Sunday for a total of two hundred on sunday5. That’s shyt was almost effortless. You nigguhs doing carbs got a cheat code. I feel like Goku working in 300x’s gravity doing my workout on Keto. I’m alter my schedule and put on Of my heavy lifting days on a weekend when I cheat. See how this turns out

One thing I notice is my body didn’t look as good at the end of the day on those cheat day(despite busting out the pushups nor effortlessly) as it dose during the Keto lifestyle . I guess when I have those carbs in my system I need to push myself a lot more harder.

This might be common sense to y’all vets but for me it was a revelatory observation

I tried to do the low carb and my body crashed:mjlol:

Finished up summer soccer with 2 games tonight. Showed up early just to hang out and got pulled into a game on a team short of players. I can tell my cardio and pacing has come a long way at least being able to play the whole game.

Next batch of games starts mid September so I have some time to really step it up on cardio to be able to play how I need to play for us to be successful. This season was probably our best team yet, and comfortably the best in the league but everyone wanted to play offense and go for highlights rather than play as a team. Which is fun in its own way but we could’ve easily went undefeated instead if people would just fill a role. I throw myself in there too as part of the problem because I’m used to being the main offensive conduit.

That first game was really illuminating playing with folks that just stuck to their roles and I got in with them like I’d been playing with them forever. Probably helped that they had made the perfect platform for me to do my thing offensively

Gotta find some runs in the next few weeks to keep the rust away. And get used to playing defense and dictating the tempo rather than being the finisher

I haven't played in over 6 weeks. Must be nice man:mjcry:

I'm letting my knee heal but my heart is still broken. I miss the game man...I miss the game.

I'm planning to get back in there after Labour Day

to me low carb = equals crash diet...the one time i did that..before my 10 year reunion...i was trying to go sub 200 to see if i could get down to 185 my HS graduation weight..3 weeks til reunion i was down to 205..and then bam...i noticed one day when i went on treadmill to do my 3-4 mile run and i could barely run a mile...so i was like let me go do boxing drills instead..and felt off...im thinking today wasnt my day and i needed sleep...next day tried it again and it was worse :bryan:..horrible workout..so then i was like yeah i think need to carb up...did that and took 2 days off..felt fine lol....didnt accomplish going sub 200 though

been out the gym for a good 6-7 weeks straight (except kickboxing on Saturdays) and :flabbynsick: compared to this time last year :snoop:. went to check out this metcon class, and still finished my circuit before all the women and threw up more weight....sometimes it's the little wins that help you regain your sense of self :smugbiden:

i'm still dying a sad death on the inside tho :(

I’m just saying homie my shyt been hurting I haven’t done legs in almost a month. I want to be able to be mobile and fukking when I’m older so I’m chilling till I figure this shyt out.

Was there a particular exercise you were doing when the pain started?
Is it when you bend your knee or have it straight?

Most leg exercises involve flexing the leg and bending it at the knee. So theres that ...

Take pictures people. Take pictures. Especially if you're starting any kind of journey whether weight loss or bulking. Good to know where you started and the progress you've made thus far. Also helps if you fall off the wagon and need to know what you looked like when you were at peak.
