Calves so damn annoying to build
Not when your whole family has calves :ahh:

Didn’t know claves were an issue until started working out after college, everyone in my fam has calves, including my bros, didn’t know (black) men supposedly struggled in this area

What's with Asian mufukkas and their calves tho? Petite ass people with tree trunk calves, even their women :merchant:

@patscorpio i'm just starting up Muay Thai (might go to their regular boxing classes too). to supplement the cardio/core work that comes from this, would you suggested heavy/low rep strength training or SS/higher rep hypertrophic training. i'm trying to drop lbs
edit: or should i go to their strength and conditioning classes which seem to be more functional movement, agility, calisthenics?

anyone else into boxing/kickboxing/MMA can chime in too

and damn, wish i would've decided to start boxing earlier in life, much more compelling workout than classes at the gym, bootcamps and the like

You gonna be gassed either way with all that intense cardio. I’d personally say light weights high reps as it’s less strain on your CNS

honestly high rep/low weight to start it off...because doing those type of workouts, since i believe will be the first time for you, will test your cardio in ways you cannot believe....only when you feel like you hit a plateau i would suggest moving into SS/higher rep hypertrophic training

i'll have to go to more classes, the first couple just been jump rope at the beginning and that's one form of cardio i'm good at lol. i will say i usually do the latter - SS in the 10-15 rep range weight training, but was wondering if i should switch up to low rep/higher weight. but seems like i should just stick with volume and go for muscular endurance..

trust me you will need that endurance...thats what i use to struggle with when i was boxing regularly..finding that balance..between heavy lifting and doing cardio/calisthenics until i barfed in a trashcan lol..because i wanted my stamina to be on point while doing it

Its happening again on my lower body day, alot of tightness in my lower back after I'm done with heavy squat sets and into my 3rd set of dead

Anyone know of a specific remedy for lower back tightening?
Google exercises to fix Anterior pelvic tilt

Try T Nation Anterior Pelvic Tilt article
Elliot Hulse to Gronk fitness has instructions to fix it.
That is what worked for me.
