Went up 2 lbs but waist is smaller by another inch. Wasn’t expecting that. Noticing more definition, more endurance, strength and muscle hardening. Was trying to lose more weight but if this continues I won’t mind.

I just did 80 mins on the elliptical shout-out to Netflix for keeping me occupied, and tried a kickboxing class but was beat after 10 mins. The class was fine, it was just after such a long workout my body was done.

A gym offers reciprocity with my home gym, so I’m gonna start going there as they open much earlier on Sundays-I just have to go to my home gym 50% of the time. They’re also open tomorrow as my reg gym is closed.

I read a quote that I find inspiring, it reads “The mind quits long before the body does.”

I need advise. I am 184 cm and 75.2 KG (skinny) However I am trying to Bulk Up and get to 80 (short) - 85 (medium) - 88/90 (long term). Question is, would it be advisable to have Fasted Training and then compensate with a heavy breakfast meal. Been getting up at 5.00 am and heading right in to get the workout. However I dont want to end up making net gains. Panning on using these routines

Beginner Workout Routine - Weight Training For Beginners

Starting Strength I ruled out because you 3nd up looking like a bull frog with that GOMAD nonsense. SL 5x5 iw great for strenght but doesnt give size and aesthetic.

I am rookie in this workout game so I wanna be effecient as possible. Reps for Life for any feedback.

IMO opinion, strength leads to size and aesthetics for beginners so that’s why a 5x5 program is so universally accepted. Also it gives you a good path to consistency. It’s not the only way but almost always is a good path.

Outside of that it’s about consistency with lifting, sleeping and eating.

As a beginner or intermediate, your routine means almost nothing. Going to the gym, lifting progressively heavier weights, sleeping 7-9 hrs a night, and eating big. You doing all of that consistently matters far more than anything else. Reread this last sentence at least two times.

Unless you are an advanced lifter, compete, or play a sport, you do not need specialized training. Hard work and consistency trump almost everything else (except steroids), including the minute differences between those 3 programs. Of the three routines you posted, the first one looks the worst. SS would be my second choice, SL would be my first. 5x5 has more upper body volume which may help you realize greater hypertrophy than SS. SL and SS also have more barbell work which I think would be more beneficial for you than the first program.

Also, SL 5x5 and SS both work. I ran SL and ICF 5x5 for maybe 9 months when I first started and those size and strength gains from all those years back still put most of the gym regulars I know to shame. Neither program is gonna win you an Olympia but with your stats/experience that's not really their purpose. Both would get you stronger and bigger than you are now, if you do that consistency thing I mentioned above. FWIW you can also run SS without drinking a gallon of milk a day.

Annoying but I’m so tired of my friend. He has always been a larger dude, but every time I see him he gets MUCH larger. I think he has to be about 350 if not heavier now and only 5’5 - 5’6. It shows up so terribly on him and he’s waaayy too you g to be that big.

I started an accountability group and he makes every bit of excuse to why he doesn’t work out at all, I have told him in so many words that part of his difficulty finding a job is because of his weight, like get it together.

Yeah I gotta get my cardio up. I've stated before I hate running & the stairs . I'm usually on the bike for my cardio. Said lemme hit these stairs tonight:francis:

I was so outta breath , I did feel great after it's just about consistency with me. I got tired in way less time vs if I was on the bike. But shyt I gotta lose this lil pudge. Everything else looking good tho.
