the hell yall be doing in the gym for 3 hours? most time i spend in the gym on one day is ~2 hours, that's when i do doubles (lift & cardio or two cardio sessions)

Roughly 8-10 exercises and 50 working sets a session. Longer rests between sets/supersets (average 1.5-2 mins; usually 3 mins before AMRAPs, up to 5 mins @90+% singles). First barbell lifts require like 15 plate changes each.

Is a calorie dense post workout meal necessary? I'm thinking of having a good pre workout meal 2-3 hours before a (stronglift) session. Working out and then having a whey (2:1 carb to protein ratio) protein shake as post workout, before I head to bed.

No, as long as you get a good protein serving then you should be good.

Probably helps best with what you describe as opposed to eating a big meal before bed if that keeps you up and you get less sleep.

If I had the time I would do long leg days too. I could probably spend 2 hours just doing squats and deadlifts alone

I'm sure most of us here are humble about what we do in the gym, and the results we see. It's a lifestyle.

However, there's always some hatin' ass people who wanna create this idea that we think we are "the shyt/all that", showing off, trying to impress women, yadda, yadda, yadda....:comeon:

and that sounds ridiculous as well
its possible..shyt ive had 3 hour cardio circuit workouts

and even before that it would be running 3 miles, then workout whatever body part or parts for the day, THEN go box....3 hours would fly by

god willing ill get back to doing that if more time elsewhere frees up
