Wasn’t actually planning to run my usual deadlift program but it’s been so empty in the gym :yeshrug:

Y'all boys be careful in these gyms. That drop-off in strength is real :mjcry:.

I can't even imagine how bad it's gonna be for the folks that still ain't back yet. Say what you want about calisthenics, but if you used to lift heavy iron, them push-ups and pull-ups won't save you when you return. fukk around tryna touch PRs and end up in the ICU

.

Some of these motherfukkers thinking they gonna turn into One Punch Man with their home workouts. Soon as they hop back into a gym they're gonna be sorely mistaken :wow:.

I’ve been going slow, big lifts have been mostly 5x5 to gauge where I’m at. The dead lift program I run starts first week at 5x5x70%-1RM. I’m old so no ego lifting for me.

:salute:

I tell my gym bros "ER or PR'' all the time, but not on your first day back :huhldup::bryan:.

Yeah you are spot on. My programming is really basic and revolves around compound lifts...during the past few months I’ve just been doing pull-ups dips and cardio and I do have a 52.5 lb set of adjustable weights...But yes you got to slowly get back into it...

I don’t mind moving slowly as it seems as if many people have decided to not come back to the gym it’s been empty each time I’ve been...

B- Day:: :pacspit:
Had no gas from the get-go and what's worse, I woke up an hour late because I forgot to set my alarm. :snoop:

Back Squat, 5x5 @ 295
Overhead Press, 5/5/5/4/3 @ 150
Deadlift: 1x5 @ 380; 4x1 @ 405 ---> 545
Sumo Deads: 5x1 @ 365 ---> 565
Pendlay Row: 5x5 @ 175
Almost decapitated myself on that 4th set of OHP and became a smiley like old buddy. :pachaha:
shyt took 2 hours and 52 minutes.:why: Had no chakra for accessories or cardio. :hubie:
