I'm gonna get back into to drinking whey for extra protein. But considering I prefer whole milk as a post workout and really the only time I don't consume protein is before my workout. I typically wake up anywhere from 4:20-5 in the morning so I can lift.
Would it be fine to consume the whey before as long I'm hitting my macros at the end of the day? Or would using whey after be much more beneficial?

I'm sure you can find a study one way or the other.

I don't know that either way there is much different if it works within your goal.

Yea honestly I just see it as a way to get more protein with my upper/lower split. I mean I think I get enough protein from whole foods and milk but adding whey back in the mix aint going to hurt. (I got the naturally unflavored one, just trying to avoid as much artificial sweeteners and the other stuff that is in most powders).
Really the only way to know my answer is to experiment it for month.

No cardio but I do walk at least a mile or two a day, five days out of the week.

Squats were terrible today, not sure why either had to do fukking leg press to feel respectable. :mjwhat:

I need to find some new exercises to work hams on squat (leg) day. Or maybe I need to do them on a separate day.

I've been doing squats twice a week on my chest day, and tricep/shoulder day. And it's much much smoother.
