you biking or running?Been putting high TDEE to the test for fatloss after reading testimonials over the years.
Put in little over 150 miles last 30 days. Goal was much higher, but I did too much too soon and knee soreness crept in. Had to dramatically slow down to let knee get acclimated.
Anyway, weight down 8 lbs. Falls in line with rate of loss noted by others online. Carbs have consistently been north of 300g. Calories hovered around 2400. Mostly low fat. Nothing suffered in the gym yet. Sleeping like a baby. Shaping up to be my favorite fat loss approach.

i'm trying to find a way to get my walks back in...seems simple as all shyt, but when i was walking ~10 miles per week, that seemed to really help the weight come off. an easy extra 450 calories burned each time i'd walk the lake
Diet will be the death of me. Need to tighten up for my B day in Oct as I want to take a trip to Egypt then, and somewhere with a beach next yr in Spring/Summer (maybe Tanzania).

The bolded. 150 miles in 30 days would be brutal on my knees if I was running.
You do 5 miles a day? Treadmill or outdoor (I’m assuming treadmill since you know the speed). How long does that take? Like an hour forty?Walking. Typically at 3mph. Cardio of higher intensity would be counterproductive.

after the first week. So what ended up happening was a bunch of scattered high mileage days that averaged out to 5 miles/day.
Ok, this makes sense. I was like how the fukk would you put 3 hours in on a treadmill at the gymWanted to average 9 miles/day (3hrs, around 20k steps), but my one knee was likeafter the first week. Tolerate the mileage much better now. Next month will be interesting.
Yes, treadmill. I bought a walking treadmill for home use and the convenience is what really makes the protocol possible and seamless. I watch TV on it. Plays games on it. Browse the web on it. Use it for 10mins after eating to improve digestion (tip from Stan Efferding). Love watching sports while walking. Time flies.
I like outside walks, but it's currently too cold to be enjoyable.

But yea, just walking instead of sitting at home during those activities is a good look. I was thinking of getting a spin bike or even dropping the dough on a peloton bike for the same reason, you may have reignited my interest in doing so.
