Lifting while losing weight can be mentally perplexing. You're getting smaller while preserving/trying to preserve muscle and frame. I'm feeling my clothes fitting looser and seeing the number on the scale drop, but the muscle definition aint there.

Anyway, I'm heading in the right direction.

What I would give to be back in college where I was walking about 4 miles a day just going in between classes, the dining halls, libraries and buildings. Now that I'm working a corporate position I realize how underrated walking is at fending off extra pounds and giving you a little more leeway in your diet :snoop:

Boxing might be something I look to get into over summer. That and jump rope. I heard the conditioning from both is amazing.

it is breh..when i was boxing regularly combined with the lifting and other cardio i was doing, i was looking straight up beastly

Went as hard as I could today in the gym and had to stop because I got nauseous as hell and thought I was about to throw up. :huhldup:

depends on what you want to do boxing for? i assume strictly for cardio/conditioning? if so find a boxing gym that offers classes...if the gym has no ring, pass on that one

Pretty much this. Add to that, sculpting and toning. I'd like my ideal fitness routine to be a mix of soccer (fun + cardio), weights (strength and aesthetics), boxing (conditioning and aesthetics), biking (cardio + transport).

EDIT: why do you say pass on a gym with no ring?

any boxing gym worth its salt should have one...boxing gym should have many forms of boxing equipment..there are more commercialized boxing gyms that are not as hardcore if you want to really focus on the conditioning but im old school lol

I do. It's clutch because the library is a 3 min walk from my office and a 2 min walk from the gym. When I'm working on my resume or sending in job-applications I do like some privacy from snooping eyes and the company's wifi.

Also, for me, it's about the habit/compartmentalizing aspect. When I'm in the office, I'm in the office. When I'm in the library I'm either studying or doing personal work. When I'm in the gym, I'm in the gym.
I'm also trying to build a new habit where right after work, I do some sort of self development/side project/networking before heading to the gym.

A little personal development each day you feel me.
Low key sad he would even ask that question on a lot of different levels.

Also been tryna get into boxing. I wanna do some more cardio/conditioning besides running/walking, I been looking around for gyms but I wanna just get some basics down and cop some gloves for myself, my school's gym has a heavy bag:jbhmm:
