I just have my girl massage it when the pain gets too nagging. The weird part is it don't hurt when I bench press or even do dips. I can't do any shoulder presses or shoulder shrugs tho. It hurts the most when I'm laying down in the bed which is weird.

I don't have anyone to massage my gym pains:mjcry:

I think by biggest issue is sleeping on that shoulder. That's what makes it bad but that's the side I'm the most comfortable on.

Same here as far as sleeping on the bad shoulder. I think one of the rare days I hoop at the gym I'm going to dislocate it doing something simple.

How do I become more generally athletic? I want to be able to jump, run, climb, carry effectively. i was looking into crossfit but the meme's make it seem so goofy.

Try a beginners strength program like "starting strength" and add in ballistic exercises.

I did this workout at 6am. Came home at 7am, showered and literally crashed out for 2 hours in bed w the AC blasting like a newborn baby :russ:. Thank god I'm off today. Woke up in post nap confusion like :dwillhuh: ...

Complete a 1000m row at an easy pace before class starts

A) 3 sets:
10 KB high pulls (R/L) 35#
50ft Overhead carry (R/L) 70#
20 sec L sit tic tock


B) 5 min AMRAP
Max Wall Balls (20#)
*Every minute, including 0:00 complete 20 Double Unders

* Rest 2 minutes

5 min AMRAP
Max Kettlebell Swings (53#)
*Every minute, including 0:00 complete 5 Burpees

* Rest 2 minutes

5 min AMRAP
Max Medball Cleans (20#)
*Every minute, including 0:00 complete 5 Box Jumps (24”)

10 rep
10 minutes (repeat routine until you reach the 10 minute mark)

Welp not trying to be funny but to improve at those things you need to do those things so what can help you improve on aspects of those events/efforts.

Jump: Squats, Overhead standing press, Deadlifts

Run: Sprints, Long slow distance, interval training

Climb: improving your grip and upper body strength (pullups, chin ups, dips which can all be weighted and body weight movements)

carry: farmers carry/walk, deadlifts, back squats, bench press


You notice that is a mix of calisthenics, cardio, power movements/strength movements. If those are your overall goals I do think that something like CrossFit may be best for your overall fitness goals as it seems to me you want to just improve as an athlete in general. But no matter what you will still need to establish a strength base and maintain cardio.

guess i'll post it here since i don't want to deal with the fukkery of TLR and it is affecting my motivation to eat right/workout...i have a broken heart brehs :mjcry: i hate everything right now, and while i'd like to hit the gym to see if helps with mood, i don't even have the focus or energy to make it through my workouts. :(

Aww damn.
You know take your time getting back. Broken hearts aint no joke. Can take awhile to get over Just keep your diet right. Dont binge out on wine and ice cream.
Hope you start to mend :hug:

Wanna commit to the cut but the strength gains are addicting. Bout to just say fukk it and be short round strong dude with back problems once I hit 30:francis:
I don't get how you brehs choose strength over muscle development/definition. I'm in the gym 5 days a week to have my body looking good not just for the ability to lift heavier shyt :russ:
