I feel like I’ve hit a wall. I’m not getting stronger for some reason :sadcam:
Sometimes it pays to switch shyt up. Try machines or different versions of the movement. Also might pay just to take a week off completely

Down about 3.5 pounds since like 8 days ago. Was just at 192.4. Think I can reach 190 by next Sunday but it'll be a challenge. Yesterday was supposed to be my last day in my department cuz they training me in another and a friend of mine got me a cake. I took it to my friends house and had a slice with them. Was good having it but not something I was craving. Today gonna be going with them to Texas de Brazil for my boy birthday so gotta make sure I prepare for that. But I'll see if I get some cardio or something in tomorrow and maintain myself. Need to continue next week and burn off any weekend calories. Starting cholesterol medication likely Monday so gotta prepare for that.

Are you on insulin or not yet just have to monitor your A1c before it becomes an issue? I know you posted you have diabetes before, it’s common in my fam and my doc warned me but my levels are always fine, just don’t know what to watch for other than some simple substitutes like whole grains for reg pasta.

Not on insulin, just low dose metformin. Besides I haven't been officially diagnosed with diabetes. I just had one blood test and my a1c was high. Who knows if it'll drop back to normal when I go for another in September. Yeah it's not just food, stress can also lead to high blood sugar I'm sure. Besides even the numbers don't tell the whole picture cuz my mom was telling me that her blood sugar and cholesterol weren't as high as mine was two years ago today when she had a heart attack. So numbers don't mean shyt when something happens in your body and you don't know it. Besides nobody knows what can happen so you can only do your best to take care of yourself. Lose weight if need be. I'm bout to deal with a weight issue a little later with my pops. I told my mom that I weigh 192 and she said my dad weighs like 180 and I'm fatter than him. Gonna use my caliper to measure us both cuz he got way more stomach fat. People just trust the scale when it's not accurate.

Anyways eating healthy and exercising does help but won't save us all in the long run. I work in health insurance and I talk to and hear about people that have it way worse. People around my age with chronic diseases or severe pain. I'm definitely blessed and hopefully can lower my a1c as I go.

You are setting your self up for failure by thinking of it as burning weekend calories fam.

Yeah I know what you mean. Just saying that I gotta maintain my consistency that way I can keep burning calories thru out the weekend since I'm not on the same routine as weekdays as far as my work schedule is concerned. Like weekdays I have more gym and exercise time plus a more set schedule compared to weekends. Can't eat too much on weekends and go overboard so I won't have to overwork myself on Monday.

That’s my point. Look at the last sentence. Thinking you have to work a certain amount to compensate for a calorie overage is just a bad path for most.

You don’t count calories I believe so how do you know you are over eating?

You know it’s all about support but you gotta figure out real plan on both fronts.

Just wrapped up this 22 mile bike ride :blessed:
I wanted to go a little longer but it started to rain so I took the train home. Get off at my home station only to see the rain cleared up :beli:

Honestly, I don't know why it took me so long to get on the biking wave.

I'd head out again but no lie, my legs are cooked. I think i'll just wait until tomorrow. Next week I'll be in NYC so I'll look to bike they city Thu, Fri and Sat :wow:

Side note: Any breh struggling to get in cardio, I highly suggest copping a bike, especially if you live in a relatively urban area. Try replacing some car trips with biking e.g. a 5 min car ride to the grocery store turns to a 10 min bike ride etc.

On my ride today, I met this one dude who worked for DC Capital Bikeshare. We were chatting for bit while I was buying water. Dude told me 3 yrs ago he used to be 325 lbs and diabetic. He's like 180 now and he switched his commute from driving to biking every day.

Is it counterproductive to skip a half dinner around 6-7 and just hold out to eat something and maybe a drink or two then? Or should I just try to eat at my regular time and not eat later even if I end up drinking?

Eat the regular time and try not to go retart on or after the date.

just eat brother...shyt and that way at least when you are on your date you want be as "thirsty" on a full stomach.
