I dont know if its off topic, but question to the people in here doing combat sports:

How can I get started with it ? :lupe:
Im thinking about giving mma a shot, was always interested in it but now I think I wanna see what thats about as another activity besides lifting...
Anyone got tips & infos for me ? :lupe:

A lot of fighting gyms offer a one class free trial or pay as you go plans where you don't have to commit to a full membership. You can just go when you want and pay per session.
You shouldn't need to buy any gear, just go to a few gyms in your area and get in a few free/cheap sessions, if you like it, choose whichever one you prefer.

Make sure your cardio is halfway decent though. If your cardio is slacking, even 1 or 2 weeks of preparation is worth it. You will be grateful

Get you a Yeti or a Hydroflask. Only way my BCAAs stay icy for 3+ hours.

I drop my jug everywhere. It just picks itself up and goes on about its business.

I usually just strongman train, because of the equipment in the gym I now go to has mostly just that. Atlas stones,Husafell stones,Yoke,Farmers walk handles, SSB bars,Log bars,Sleds, different sized sand bags, tires, and the usual stuff like dead-lift platforms, squat rack,etc.,etc.,etc. I just finished my last 12 wk str training regiment last Fri. and started on bodybuilding on Mon. 'cause im going to Jamaica in Nov. So first week of bodybuilding is over. /deardiary/
