been doing 30-45 min classes 5x/wk with the peloton app...they really do have some good classes/great music. i don't think their bike is the best, but you can't deny their app :yeshrug:

went back to training with a trainer, and after being sidelined with that crazy ass respiratory infection, finally gonna get back to boxing class 2-3x/week

Did you notice any big muscle loss from that? I'm trying to cut down to 185 from 190 right now (by the end of the month) but I kinda worried about loosing muscle trying to move that quick since I've been on a slow cut since fall (was around 205 ish).
It's hard to say... we target fat with diets but you lose water + glycogen, and depending on the circumstances some muscle too. I am weaker and smaller than when I started the cut but I don't think that means I lost muscle. That's just the way it goes :yeshrug:

It also depends on how advanced you are... when I did my cut in 2017 I actually gained muscle while I cut. In 2018 I basically held steady over my cut but I was stronger. 2019 I didn't cut and now I'm way stronger but finding it harder to hold on to my strength. But I know once I get my calories back up I will fill in and get my strength back

What's happening at the end of the month? I wouldn't worry about losing a significant amount of muscle over the next couple of weeks

The N.O
of course its roid usage..there is natty and there is the point where it looks anabolic lol

Hard work can look anabolic

Dude isn't even that big. Only real question mark is the speed of the transformation

Ol head in the gym and former roid user told me you can really tell by the stomach , shoulders and face who is using and how much. He pointed out soooooooo many people in the gym even females. Said point blank its not worth it

I'm about to replace the warm ups in app amd cycle them with Bicep Curls, ChinUp/Dips. The biggest issue people seem to have is 1. No Arms - underdeveloped Bi/Triceps/Forearms. 2. Overdeveloped Quads/Rear Glutes. 3. Gaining Belly Fat. Tomorrow is my rest day so Im about to get diet on lock.

1. Again, SL and SS have accessory templates, most ppl just seem to not do or know about them. If you start doing weighted dips and chins, you won't need to do much more for arms unless you plan on stepping on stage.

2. Yes, squatting often will do this to you. Is it a bad thing? I like having big quads and ladies seem to mire glutes.

3. Diet is not on point or your macros are off. Should be on point for any program, not just SL.
If you're adding accessory work then it's not really SL anymore :francis:

I don't really understand those 5 rep programs. I mean any program that incorporates progressive overload is gonna get you stronger. But why 5 reps only? Why no accessories? Even straight up powerlifters vary their reps and do accessories. Plus I feel like most people get into lifting for aesthetics... and SL (and SS) are def not aesthetics focused. Both are extremely well marketed though which IMO is the biggest driver of their popularity.

See above. Even if that is true, I doubt my man cares what the program is called as long as it works.

SL and SS are strength programs, not PL programs. Also, accessory lifts for novices are highly overrated. Anybody just starting out in the gym will have more of their gains coming from the big barbell lifts anyways; adding some curls or tricep isos will do very little for a novice.

I do agree they're not the best for aesthetics.
