Been doing kettlebells swings, jump rope, and walking during this pandemic. Gym is open again (masks on only), but I'm honestly super conflicted about going in. I really miss my squats/deads/bench/OHP/pullups, but IDK if I trust LA Fitness with the cleanliness bit :jbhmm:

I stopped being any kind of active. I legit would wake up shower get back in bed and spend all day in bed including working. I didn’t even notice the clothes cause I mostly wear ball shorts and large tees for comfort at home. My girl is an essential worker so this is the busiest she’s ever been I was in bed getting all types of fukked up food from where I coul all day everyday :mjlol:

The thing is, I’ve been naturally lean/athletic my whole life cause I’m usually active. My brother pulled up the other day and was like what the fukk happened to you :francis: then my girls moms said “I hardly recognized you” that’s when I knew I had to look in the mirror:mjgrin:

nikka went to the scale and I’m 30lbs over my usual weight:pachaha:

To be honest I been working remotely since before the lockdown and I guess I just enjoyed lazying it up for a minute. I should be all good in 2 or 3 months. I’m not even doing any real work outs

People don’t realize how many calories they burned just getting up going to work/walking around the office, etc. WFH life means you gotta make it a point to move - wake up, go for a 20 min walk, walk again at lunch, walk again in the evening. That’s bare minimum, but at least it keeps your body getting some of the steps you’d regularly get. I used to get up and walk to the BART - the way I would get to work if I were going in - and walk back to the house. Now I got a spin bike so can put in 30 mins in the morning, but when I first got a WFH job back in Oct, I knew all too well that shock of lack of movement.

Salute to you brave folk still going to gyms. So glad my county not opening them shyts back up. I found a way to substitute most gym workouts at the crib.

I do anything for the gains. :dame:

Gave up too much sleep, free time, parties, vacations, and invested too much money over these last 5 years to just let that fall by the wayside now.

Once the rona crisis is over it's gonna be even better cause all the folks that did nothing and got really skinny or really fat gonna be hating like city cops. :birdman:

Anyone got a good 30 day Ab workout/plan they suggest?
If peloton still has a free 30 day trial, their crush your core program was good. There is also this generic “Ab Workout” app (on iOS at least) that has like 15 different ab workouts, if you just do a variety of them 5-6 days/week, you should be straight. But overall, doing 7-15 mins of core work 5-6 days a week is all you need, you can probably just follow some workouts on YouTube if you’re looking for “structure”
