I think you messed up by cancelling the date with the tinder one. Also you should have set a specific time for Saturday. She already showing she's flakey at that point. If she couldn't give you a specific time you should have told her "we should do it another time when your schedule is clear. Send a text another time when you want to do something" and leave it at that.

When she texted you the next day i would have teased her a little bit about it and tell her to holla when she wants to hang out or just leave it at that either way she's a flake so her being on some bs is a blessing cause she disqualified herself. Nothing lost.

In my opinion, he has to be straight up with her. That way, she's able to improve for her next relationship. Does breaking up with a person you care about sucks? Of course it does. It's supposed to hurt. Hiding the truth from her isn't going to make things better in my opinion. People respect honesty. As long as he keeps it 100 with her, then it can be real closure and they're both able to press on.
