When/if I do date my social circle (or lack thereof) is gonna bite me in the ass hard.
So i've been single for a month... and on Friday after work, a homeboy (who's been divorced for 3 years - but he got bamboozled by a bytch looking for a green card and hasn't dated since he split with ex wife) brought to my attention that i'm too anxious/rushing to get into another relationship.
We weren't even drinking, just a casual homie night out/dinner and i was like, "Shiit, you're right!"
But since I cut off ties with my ex girlfriend, i've been on this rampage of approaching women, putting myself out there and even contacting old flames on my contact list.
It's been straight misses so far, no dates yet... but i bumped into this vivacious latina thang last night.
She's a realtor and seems really down to earth. She told me it was her bday so i opted to buy her a drink (i know the rules on this, but she didn't ask or insinuate it, and didn't ask her girls to come along, so i felt it was genuine).
After several minutes of chatting and getting familiar, I also told her that I was also out for a bday and she was adamant about meeting somebody who had the same bday as her so i introduced her to the homie and the rest of the crew. She was mad unpretentious, unassuming and down to earth.
I finally texted her a bit ago and things went extremely well. She wants to keep in touch and i'm working on asking her out for some chill time.
Wish me luck brehs. I feel so rusty. LOL>
Dating sucks breh. Also started reading MODERN ROMANCE and i can relate to this book so much. As another minority man who goes through the same kinds of dating and relationship and courtship woes as Aziz... the material hits me to the core.

Please don't do this. You already framing that you gonna chase the fukk out of here doing shyt like this. Even if you do bag her it won't bode well for your future power struggle in the relationship if you out the gate running after her. Ask her out for drinks and go from there. If she interested she'll make it easy if not then you cut your losses. But just showing up to her place of work is a weird move to me.
