As well as time goes on you read the signs they are always there. As times went on in life I was never caught off guard again.

I don’t think they are. My perception:
- Dating with intention equals working towards finding out if there is a long term path with said person
- Not settling equals not dipping below your standards
then it would never get to intentional dating.
