I don’t for a few reasons:Does anyone eat catch-up calories? Why does my app tell me I can eat more based on how much I work out? I don’t but does that make sense if you aren’t a serious athlete? I could see if I was doing marathons or 20-30 miles on the bike but what’s the point? Do you actually starve if you’re net under + exercise?
- A lot of those calculators aren’t capable of being accurate so I wouldn’t want to use that data to dictate my calories
- I think it creates a poor relationship with food from a “reward” standpoint. Better off (to me) setting a consistent number or set of variables and letting anything happen done during exercise be a bonus. Of course if you more hungry or less hungry on a particular day eat towards that because it wil likely balance out over the long term.
