I don’t do anything direct. I try to lift heavy on compounds and get a fair amount of heavy carries in. That said my understanding is that it’s better to do them post lifting if it’s not a dedicated abs/cardio session.Went, workout felt better being in my own world vs being pushed/coached by a trainer.
How often y’all work your abs? Throw an ad exercise in with every workout? Do a day or two of deliberate an work (3 or more exercises in one workout)? Or love by the principle that if you engage your core while lifting and doing cardio that enough an work?
One thing annoying me about my trainer, for the past 9 months we had like 15 mins worth of abs to start the workout, seemed like a waste of time to do that much ab work.

which app do you use...not that i think i need one, got too many ab exercises on deck, but maybe there should be more of a strategic approach to absI paid for a abs app, not too bad. Routine is about 5-8 minutes after I do my weight training. I typically workout 4-5 days a week and has been alright. I think you can get away with training abs a lot
I'm eating in a calorie surplus right now so the gains aren't all there (yet).![]()
