Got 3 more days left of my 25 Pull Ups everyday for 25 days challenge, so I thought up a new challenge if anyone wants to join:

*Think Ill start Monday*

Its The Donkey Kong WOD from CrossFit.

Burpees/KB Swings/Box Jump

3 Rounds: 21 of each, 15 of each, 9 of each done for time.

I want to make sure my lower back and knee is up for this, so I came up with this to work my body up to it: 4 Variations of the DK spread out over 10 Weeks, done 3 days per week.

Weeks 1-2 : Mini-Kong 11-7-5
Weeks 3-4 : Baby-Kong 15-9-6
Weeks 5-7: Donkey-Kong 21-15-9
Weeks 8-9: King-Kong 25-20-15
Final Week: God-Kong 25-25-25

I need to cut out carbs, which means I need to go grocery shopping, which means standing in line for 20-30 mins to get it :snoop:


A little doms kicked in last night, so I at least hit my chest and shoulders better than I thought

I never understood why people cut carbs (unless they're drying out before a show). :hubie:

As far as DOMS, I wouldn't use that to measure the effectiveness of a workout. Just me though. :yeshrug:


In any case, at least you eating clean and doing cardio, unlike my bytch ass. :snoop:

I've been getting into joint mobilization the past wk and I found out I have been terrible on my lower joints in life :mjlol: especially ankles from all those basketball sprains I just laced up tighter with. Just a few cursory *sessions have made a world of difference already

Im seriously thinking about getting deer antler spray, something, anything for help. This shyt low key depressing. No matter if I fast, eat clean vegan/ vegetarian whatever. Cardio core workouts I can't keep weight off. I got down to 263 and outta no where im back to 275. Im eating better now than I was before and even more active. Like I seriously can't understand it.

I guess you just meant to be heavier like I'm meant to be lighter. :mjcry:

How are you measuring cals and how often are you weighing in :lupe:

I don't measure And I weight twice a week
I might eat 2 granola bars all day
Yesterday I had some spinach And 2 baked thighs that's all I ate all day.
How the fukk I keep gaining weight

How long have you been eating and working out like this? What’s your vegetable:fruit intake?

Honestly since before the quarantine
I do more fruit smoothies than anything and I actually like veggies
You should be logging what you eat, I use MyFitnessPal. I’d suggest incorporate more fish into your diet, not sure about the smoothies or bars (sugar) as I opt for actual fruit and increase your pace/distance. Your body may be used to your workouts, could be time to switch it up. I’d say go swimming but obv that’s impossible now.

Does anyone eat catch-up calories? Why does my app tell me I can eat more based on how much I work out? I don’t but does that make sense if you aren’t a serious athlete? I could see if I was doing marathons or 20-30 miles on the bike but what’s the point? Do you actually starve if you’re net under + exercise?

A few thoughts:

  • I would start tracking calories for at least a month. Right now you have no baseline on what is and isn’t working. You have to track everything even the “cheat meals” or however you term it.
  • I would only think about weigh-in once a week, same day, time and general conditions. People’s weight fluctuates for a lot of factors so frequent weigh-ins are kind of useless unless you are really in tune to your body. Also it sounds like you eat kind of randomly so the weight swings are likely to come with that.
