need a form check on my squats, either pushing too low for my range or, most likely, curving my back/butt out too far. lower back has hurt the past two weeks after squatting.

my trainer tried hard to switch me to front squats, but i can't get the bar positioned right, ends up hurting my collar bone, then i overcompensate with my hands and end up hurting my wrists :upsetfavre: i did just buy some straps, so maybe i'll go early on a sunday and figure out how to use them :heh:

I actually just did that specifically for front squats. I still cant rack position it but it's better than cross grip so far

i tried cross grip and let's just say, i easily coulda made one of those gym fail videos :mjlol:
It's rough especially for high reps. I never had a problem with 1-8 rep ranges but anything over that and the upper body fatigue sets in. Since you've got the straps give it a go. I'm still adjusting after only two tries but today was better and I was able to focus more on the squat than securing the weigh.

Anybody else go :wow: when they look at themselves in the mirror after getting out of the shower? Instant confidence booster. I'm 33 and it boogles my mind just how many of my peers got pot bellies and just all around :flabbynsick:.
I gotta look at pictures to really appreciate my body. I haven't been in shape like this long enough to see myself as what I am now. I still see myself as having my old shape until I take pics and look at them. It's definitely a mental thing and a big reason why I go so hard in the gym despite how many compliment my physique.
