I'm off to a bachelorette party out of town in a few hours. The Saturday morning yoga class has now been replaced with Saturday morning crossfit, after a night of drinking! Wtf. I don't want to do burpees in between my squat sets. I don't actually went to step fit into crossfit culture at all.

Me n wifey met a couple through a Meetup group... the chick runs the group. We thought they were cool, but bit by bit they would plug Crossfit. Now I would say 9 out of 10 events they hold are "free classes". And they are real weak following up with regular events. shyt is the Jehovah's Witness of fitness.

:dwillhuh: so I've been essentially power lifting heavy for over 4 years and have never had any injuries or sprains :wow:

Strength >>>>>>>> aesthetics

Thought I had hip mobility issues as I posted about a bunch, but after a month long pain-metamorphosis and some self-diagnosis via online medical data I am 95% sure I have a hip adductor sprain :sadcam:

The prognosis? Rest. For up to a couple months. No other treatment available:upsetfavre:

But I'm finding it hard to cope with the idea of resting because I can still do my leg workouts just fine. My pain only occurs when there are inward shearing forces on my thigh. So bracing myself for a dumbell row is painful, but squatting I barely feel a thing :why:. Deadlifting I'm cool, but sitting in a car aggravates it :why:

It really is. I just checked their website and the Saturday morning class isn't even an intro class, just a free community class. It takes me way too long to recovery from injuries, and it seems from the website that there is not a lot of focus on safety or proper form at this box. I won't be joining the ladies for this class, eff that.

I've changed my diet for a few weeks. I definitely feel weight loss mostly in my thigh area & I've lost about an inch from my waist. i'm only doing it a few weeks to prove to myself I can stick with it before spending more money on exercise equipment (I've been doing workouts from youtube for now)

so far I am okay with the diet. the changes aren't drastic (they shouldn't be) but I do feel more positive about my body
