so I currently go to the gym 4 days a week….. i do cardio for 45 mins …. Hit the weight machines for like a half hour

I’m doing an intermittent fasting….drinking a protein shake in the morning…. Eating cherries in between and then lunch … which is either chicken and broccoli or salmon and broccoli. I’m trying to lose weight and get cut….. is it possible to gain some muscle even tho I’m fasting? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
This is no shot at you but just off this post you should focus on cutting. Worry about building muscle after you finishing cutting. And yes you should continue to lift.
Say breh, I was thinking about cutting. Tomorrow is my last workout before I had a scheduled deload anywaym I put on like 25 pounds since November after I started working out, and it's certainly not all muscle. How would I go about maintaining muscle or should I just accept im going to lose something
Same for you.

Appreciate that …. I was going try to lose and build muscle but I’m going focus on cutting …. Need to get rid of this gut

Wanted to wait a while before entering this thread, but I finally did it brehs :wow:

Lost 40lbs from fasting and eating right. Hit the gym every single day for 2 months straight, my cardio is insane (for me) and I’m now in the best shape of my life :mjcry:

Furthest distance I’ve ever run I hit Wednesday which was 6.5mi, I can now do 3.5mi like it’s nothing (which is what I ran today). I think this body is ready for a 10k :blessed:

I’ve mixed cardio with strength conditioning, I haven’t lifted weights yet to build muscle since I’m still thinking about leaning out into the 170’s first just to see what that looks like but I started at 222 running a 14 minute mile and I’m down to about 9 almost flat. In high school I ran a 7 minute mile so I would like to get my sprint time back down to that if possible.

Thanks for all the tips in here though, they’re def helpful.

the internet
any of you have a calisthenics routine or youtube channel you follow that does?

I didnt feel like going to the gym one day and looked up a pushup routine
Did this for 20min (had to stop and rest a lot) and was surprisingly sore the next day

I think im done with going for big lifts...too much stress on the joints

@jilla82 So the actual program im following I got from this . You can skip to 10 minutes for the outline of the plan. I also borrowed from the BodyWeightFitness Recommended Routine on Reddit for awhile . I also look at ThatsGoodMoney, CalisthenicsMovement, and FitnessFaqs for tips on youtube. It's all kinds of motivation on Instagram but I especially like to look at @d3hundred & @freeze81_

When I first started I would just superset my push and pull exercises then transition to legs then abs. I was working out 3x a week doing that

I don't know how I tweaked my back earlier. I did my stretches and when I went to jump rope something just felt weird in my upper back. Tried to see if I could stretch again or work out the kinks but it just wasnt giving. I did a couple pull-ups and didn't want to test my luck and make it worse. I was actually planning on trying weighted pull-ups today but oh well. Still going on my schedule break
