Sign of muscle imbalances now showing up after years of dependency.......

See idk about this…I legit was fine like 2-3 months ago. I actually don’t know what happened. It was almost overnight something changed…my knee has been an on and off thing though, just the pain has ramped up of late.

I think the groin was a crazy hyper extension from playing the beautiful game

One thing goes off the rails and the dominoes fall..... adductors is still a part of the lower body anatomy.. injured groin, then something has to pick up the "slack" , then something has to pick up the "slack" for the muscls that are picking up the slack for the injured groin... :eldiego: .

Too much activity and not enough recovery. Been a pattern I've noticed with you for a while now.

Fitness is the influencer hustle these days. Most people look like they spend more time putting together their gym fit than they do their workout routine. If it works for them, so be it :yeshrug:

Towards the end of summer I legit took of a few weeks when I traveled to Dallas and Houston.

I’m active 4-5x a week for 9-10 weeks then take 2ish weeks totally off. On a regular week I’m still getting 2 clean rest days. I’ve been incorporating more rest of late

I totally get this. It’s kind of like Rodri with his ACL injury. The surrounding muscles aren’t as strong anymore that’s why he picked up a hamstring injury a few days ago.

What’s not making sense is the groin injury is on my left thigh but it’s my right knee that’s acting up

Probably not a bad idea to revaluate lifting versus, rec sports versus diet.

Could be wrong but I think at one point your were doing deads and squats in one session which I wouldn’t recommend in general but combined with rec soccer,…….

The deads and squats in a single session was legit just for a single week. I’d usually do one day deads and another day squats for my lower days (2x) a week.

Soccer is (or was, now that I’m injured) 1x a week on Saturday as my main cardio for the week. Outside of the 3mile bike round trip to the gym, I was doing no other cardio outside of 10k steps daily.

Generally it’s 4x a week in the gym. 2 upper days, 2 lower days. One day of soccer then will rest the other two. At worst, might do a light bike ride but that’s not very taxing.

Maybe we don’t move, maybe we rest?

And that’s what I’m saying. I’m even taking more rest than previously so something isn’t adding up is what I’m getting at.

But no point in us going back and forth. It is what it is.

Just a temporary setback. The road forward won’t be a straight journey. Gonna be some bumps along the way. We still move :banderas:

That makes perfect sense. Cortical inhibition. The brain doesn't want loads on that side because of the stabilizing factor of that area so you subconciously begin to favor the other side....... Was having a similar issue with my knee.

Man, all I know is I’m coming out of all of this stronger :manny:

Whether it be PT, switching up my workouts, trying different recovery techniques etc.

I’m not letting up :banderas:
