That was pre social media.

People forget Cosby had accusers for 20 something years that were public, but it just took Hannibal Burress to tell a joke and for that joke to blow up on social media to take something that some people already knew to being a huge story that ended in charges

It would be women who are retired.

A Chyna type would've been perfect in this role. Or a Sunny type.

Look at a lot of the women accusing Weinstein. A lot of them are women who were aspiring actresses in the '80s or '90s, but now are out of the business.

Same with Cosby.
both did porno so theyd be discredited in seconds.

if trish came out maybe, dont see that happening anytime soon tho

You making your whole argument stupid. Sunny is a drug addict, chyna was a druggy yet none of them accused Vince of harassment. All the women wrestlers who retired like Kelly Kelly , Ashley, AJ who wrote a book could have said something yet none of them did. I know you have an agenda to push so go on but there are at least 40 to 60 retired women who haven’t said shyt .

I wasn't talking about them specifically, just saying that some divas or superstars from like the '90s who might have a grudge or be desperate

Dude, get the fukk outta here.

I wasn't saying that it had to be sunny or chyna.

I was just using them as an example of women from the '90s who could have a grudge against the company and use this as an opportunity to get their name out there.

I also, specifically said Vince/WWE in the thread title, meaning ANYBODY working for the company.

It could be Pat Patterson or Kevin Dunn or that creepy dude who wrangles all the divas that we see on Total Divas.

All it would take is for one diva/superstar to get drunk and start spilling shyt on social media and all of a sudden shyt just spills out. This is the right climate for it.

Bill Cosby got taken down by social media.

So did Bill O'Reilly

So did Harvey Weinstein

Now Terry Richardson and James Tobeck

And it's not looking good for R. Kelly because folks is going in on him on Twitter everyday now.

There have been a few accusations and scandals.

Them coveting Moolah who's been accused of being a glorified pimp who brutalized, prostituted and robbed her students. Since these accusations have gained traction WWE smartly distanced themselves from her I have no doubt that women's tournament would've been the Moolah Classic if it happened years ago.
The Ring boy/ Cream Team which was the actual name of Patterson's crew that would fukk the young dudes who'd set up the rings:scust: It was Patterson, black ring announcer and Terry Garvin. The boy settled for like 15k and Pat was fired and hired back a year later.

A female referee claimed Vince either raped or sexually assaulted her. I don't really remember if they paid her or if it got thrown out but it took The Mae Young classic for us to see another female ref in the WWE.

Sable sued the WWE for sexual harassment. I think she won, either way, she came back.

I think other than being pre-internet the WWE is protected by scumbag immunity. Much like Porn, like how people know porn is often degrading, exploitive and can be racist in both storylines and performers refusing to do scenes with minorities. No one is going to protest and the general public doesn't care or looks at potential victims with contempt. shyt there was a pornstar a few years ago who was alleged to have raped like a dozen of his co-stars during scenes by committing sexual acts that weren't consented to beforehand. Most people don't know or care because the way they see it is it's a scummy business and if you become a victim you've earned some sort of comeuppance for taking part in it.

Yeah, you're talking about this shyt

I get what you're saying, but here's the difference

The WWE is traded on Wall-Street

It's PG

They sell action figures, video games, and cartoons to children

John Cena is the #1 Make A Wish filler of all-time and hosts the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards

Total Divas and Total Bellas are hit reality shows on E! Channel

The WWE is mainstream culture in every way.

Now, if we were talking about the territory era of wrestling or even WCW, then I might agree with you, but any company that's as mainstreamed as WWE is, yet having the old school carny mentality, it's only a matter of time before something gives.

I mean, they just had a scandal this year wear JBL was exposed to have physically and mentally abused his co-workers for years, with encouragement from the company.

Time is ticking, bruh

You're right the business is changing particularly the culture and politics of the locker room. The business does still have a conservative carnies that's why you had people saying Mauro doesn't belong in wrestling if he goes home for being too "sad".The thing is with scumbag or I guess "Dumb" immunity is while people can write off the ills that it produces as costs of taking part in it when the public decides to care they can turn you into the scapegoat for ALL the problems and go scorched earth.

I feel the world has made progress but you can see push back and people who don't get it or don't want to get it.

"You mean a rich man tried to use his power to have sex with attractive women?"

"Why are they saying he sexually assaulted women he only grabbed her boob"

"I don't see what the big deal is. He wasn't violent, he apologized and wanted to talk about the issue..."

^ I've avoided the Weinstein stuff but I've still managed to see this and while it's not as frequent as the condemnations you know there are more people thinking it then saying it. Time is indeed ticking.
