I had the Metcons 1-2 and didnt really care for them. I'm using Nano 9s now and they gotta be the best cross training shoe I've ever used. Metcons seem ok if you have more narrow feet.
Side not just did Squats for the 1st time in 2 years. Sucks starting from scratch but even with 225 I can feel it hitting way more muscles than leg press. I stopped doing Squats because It became a pain to get a free squat rack with the after work crowd at the new gym I started going to at the time. Now that I do early morning work outs squat racks tend to be free more often.
I can see you on the Nikes. The 1's and 2's are less like sneakers than the later ones, especially the Flyknits and Frees.
As for the squat racks opening up, if I go in the afternoon I just creep up on someone and they magically done in 5 minutes or less.
